Affiliate Programs

Affiliate Programs typically pay between 5-20% Commission and rarely provide recurring compensation. Most Affiliate Programs pay per click or per sale, and use either a link, ad, or coupon to track cookies (digital breadcrumbs linking an Affiliate's content to the consumer's purchase).

However, Affiliate Programs increase marketing, expand the reach of a business, can humanize the brand, and reward those who love the brand which supports high quality customer experiences.

CON: Low average commission + lack of Passive Income

MLM Programs

MLM's utilize downlines to create the potential for "passive income." This creates a need for members to hop on calls, post to social media, train your team, train your team to train their team, and juggle the low retention of MLM.

CON: Managing your downline = Active Income

MLM's are built on tiers or levels which the commission declines, ranks which are based on downline and volume. Because of this, Compensation Plans can be confusing, earnings can be difficult to calculate yet alone confirm, and many people are weary of MLM altogether.

Influencer Programs

Influencer Programs are essentially Affiliate Programs with a prerequisite and a different calculation of payout. These programs typically require a minimum following or web traffic, and are oftentimes open to select individuals or entities. Instead of being paid per click, Influencer's are oftentimes paid per follower or per view (paid to advertise, not to sell persay).

That being said, if you are paid $1.00 per follower and have 20,000 followers, that's great mula! But what if your post went viral and 10,000 people bought the $50 product. Even at only 10%, you would have made DOUBLE the Affiliate route.

CON: Not equitable, built for the few vs. the many, lower potential
